Who's behind Officina
My name is Hubert Montero, I'm an independent software developer based near Rome, Italy. My background is in Java, Spring Boot, DevOps (Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible) and mobile app development with Flutter.
Officina was born out of a personal frustration: too many things in everyday Italian life — deadlines, bills, loans, documents — end up forgotten or poorly managed because the available tools are too generic, too complicated, or too invasive with personal data.
I decided to build apps that each solve one specific problem, well-made, without ads, without tracking, with data staying on your device. Not an endless catalog of mediocre apps — a few apps, made by someone who has experienced those problems firsthand.
